CATCH A GLIMPSE!!!

Yesterday we had our 2010 Christmas pictures made by my very talented sister, Lacy. I think all 5 kids are finally getting the hang of the whole "say cheeze"... They all did wonderful!!! These have not been touched up at all but I couldn't wait to show off my 2 babies and 3 nephews... Let me just reassure you, they are not as sweet and innocent as they may appear in these pictures. I had to bribe mine with calling santa, calling daddy, ice cream, money for the wishing fountain, and of course beatin the daylight out of them..... Despite what it took to get these, I am tickled to death that I actually have more than 1 perfect picure with both of them smiling. Hope you enjoy!!!

I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT TO POST THIS!!!
This is very excititng news for any mom... the first time your child is not screaming when you take them to see SANTA....2 weekends ago we took Cayson to visit Santa Clause at Sanderson Farms, hoping for the best..... Well, it was better than we could have ever imagined. He loved him and didn't want to leave him.

I know he doesn't look too sure about him here... but I promise he was thrilled!!!

He had to show Santa their picture together.... such a sweet picture!!

We get to take both kids later this week to see Santa at Dixie Electric and I am hoping to get the same response from Cayson... Anna can't wait but ever since Cayson had to talk to Santa on the phone for being bad, he keeps asking me "are we going to see the good santa?"... lol!! I guess he thinks since Santa had to tell him to be nice or he wouldn't get any toys, he thinks Santa is bad.... I hope thats not the case. He will usually do whatever his sissy does so hopefully she can reassure him, Santa is a good guy!!

Also, me and my hubby will celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary this Friday.... Our gift to each other is a 5 day cruise to Mexico.... We leave on Saturday and I can't wait!!! Gonna miss my babies SO MUCH but every mom and dad needs a little "vacation" every now and then!!! Be back next week with lots of pics!!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!!

Shutterfly Christmas Cards

Well its that time of year... to start worrying about what to wear in Christmas pictures, if the kids will act right, and how to do our family Christmas cards. I have been extremely lucky to have such great pictures and cards each year thanks to my sister Lacy (http://www.photosbylacy.photoreflect.com/).
I read about Shutterfly from a fellow blogger and I have to say the cards are adorable and extremely affordable. It will be a tough decision to pick a card... they would all look great with my sweet kids pictures in them.
If you are one to stress about the perfect Christmas card, stress no more... Go check out Shutterfly @ http://www.shutterfly.com/.

To all my fellow bloggers.....Get 50 free holiday cards from Shutterfly! http://bit.ly/sfly2010 #SFLY. All you have to do is mention all the great deals and cards Shutterfly offers.

I will leave you with one picture that really has no meaning except for you to see the silly little boy that I live with... He is such a mess and keeps all of us on our toes!!
Have a great week!!!

Sorry for the bad quality, this was taken with my cell phone!

Thankful!!

Go, Go, Go... This is what I feel like we do all the time!! I am very thankful for our wonderful families and friends that causes us to GO all the time... Last week was pretty much a calm and uneventfuly week. Just the usual school, work, homework, supper, baths, and bedtime....

No, they are not always this sweet to each other... but sometimes sleeping with Sissy makes Cayson's day!!

Friday we had Anna's school field trip the the Exploreum in Mobile... It was very exhausting but all the kids had a blast.

This is Anna's best friend Raine.... who also came to spend the night after the field trip.
ALOT of kids... There were 3 charter buses full of kids and parents.

The Sea Lion show was a big hit!!
She will kill me for this one day but this is her boyfriend Ethan... who we were informed LOVES HER!!
 So much like her daddy!!
Exhausted and fixen to head home!!

This weekend we had one of special little friend Brooke's birthday party.... The kids has so much fun riding on the wagon and then taking a stroll on the horse. Mrs. Lauren did a great job planning Brooke's "cowgirl" birthday party!!

All in all we have ALOT to be thankful for!!! As we prepare for these next 2 months filled with lots of food, family, and friends, I am so thankful that I have so many people in my life that keep me busy all the time. I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!!! Be back soon!!

Fair & Halloween

This past week has been pretty fantastic for us Pickering folks... (aside from me being very sick with the crud). The kids have had a blast with the fair, trick or treating, and a fall festival. I know in my last post I said there would be pumpkin patch pics coming this week... but unfortunately me and my friend Brandi were not able to make the trip since me and her little boy Tripp were so sick this past Saturday morning. I decided I better get enough rest to last through an entire night of trick or treating... which I have to say was so much fun!!!
These pictures will not do justice to the amount of fun these kids had... I actually enjoyed Halloween this year instead of feeling completely stressed out (which is usually how I feel).
I will start off with the fair... Cayson was actually big enough to ride alot of stuff and it didn't take long for him to realize how much he was going to enjoy the fair... Luckily we had several friends we ran into that made riding for Anna and Cayson alot more fun... Thanks Brandon and Brooke!!!
Believe it or not, I actually forgot my camera on our trip to the fair so I had to rely on my cell phone. I was so upset... I NEVER go anywhere without my camera!!

And I have to brag about this... Thanks to coupons and friends in high places, we only spent $58 for all four of us to eat and the 2 kids to ride!!!

Saturday night we went Trick or Treating on what we call "Candy Cane Lane" in Laurel and then to Kimberly Lane. We were with my sister Lacy and her family and our good friends Lauren and Clark. ALL the kids had such a great time!!! I have way too many pictures to pick from so I will have to post alot of them... Hope yall enjoy!!!
And throughout my entire album of Halloween pictures, I do not have a picture of Cayson without his mask. He LOVED to wear his spiderman mask. He put it on at 4:00 on Saturday and refused to take it off until we got to Pizza Hut to eat at 7:30... but then it went right back on and we had to make him take it off for bed at 10:30.... I was very thankful it was not a fight for him to wear it but at the same time, it was a fight to make him take it off!!

Drew, Bryce, Cayson, Cruz, Jax, Anna, and Brooke

Sunday, we went to a Fall Festival at Summerland Baptist Church with our friends Lauren and Clark.... and I did it again... I forgot my camera!! Luckily, Lauren had hers so I will post some of them when I get them from her... Kids had a blast riding the horses, hayride, jumps, truck or treating, cake walk, and of course eating!!! It was a great end to a perfect weekend!!
Have a great week, be back soon!!
