Throw me Something, Mister!!!

Last Friday was my MIL's birthday so we took her out Thursday night to Mexican Kitchen and the 1st annual Hattiesburg Mardis Gras parade. I heard it was thrown together in very litte time, but I have to say they did a great job. It was a clean family oriented parade.... Kids had a blast and so did the adults!!! I heard there were around 10 - 12 thousand people there..... Once word gets around about how great it was, I am sure next year will be HUGE. :)

Anna would wave her arms and scream for beads, but Cayson just waved at everybody. Their "cuteness" got them tons of stuff!!!

Anna kissed two men on the cheek for these roses.... We are such proud parents LOL!!
This was my favorite float!!! Black lights and hip hop music!!!

Conquered!!!

Last Thursday night, I was volun"told" that I would have to conquer something that I am not normally too excited about.... I could NOT take speech in college because I knew I would either throw up or pass out, but over the years being involved in Relay and also becoming a boss at work I have had to step out of my comfort zone. The most people that I have ever spoke in front of is about 10-15 people that were normally some of my closest friends.... Well this past Thursday night at our South MS Relay Team Captain Training, that number jumped up to 130 people and 80% of them, I did not know!!!! Shockingly, I did not pass out or throw up and did not feel a bit nervous as I was up there speaking. My part was only about 5 min but I felt like I had conquered the world.... I prayed before our meeting started that my nerves would stay calm through my whole presentation and I truly believe that thanks to GOD, I sailed right through it!!! NO, I am not ready to do it again but I do feel like maybe I should go back to college just to prove to myself that I can live through speech!!! :)
The 130 people that heard me speak....

Saturday, we went to a birthday party at Space Tag in Ellisville. This was my first trip here and also my son's first time at playing Lazer Tag... He wasn't too thrilled about all the darkness but after about 30 seconds of crying, he realized there were no real monsters in there. He actually loved it and wanted to go back on Sunday. I definitely see a family outing to Space Tag with me and Cayson against Casey and Anna!!!

In my last post I expressed how blessed me and Casey feel that God has blessed us with some AMAZING Christian friends. Our Wednesday night Journey Group has become extremely close and we love for any opportunity to get together for the 3 F's.... Food, Fun, and Fellowship. Sunday night we had a Super Bowl party at our friends Craig and Georgeann Walters' house with about 30 friends from our group. As always, it was a blast!!!!

The kids LOVE to get together too!!

Have a Great Week!!!
